A single melon shaped tea caddy
Description
A extrenely fine quality late eighteenth century tea caddy in the form of a melon with fine colour and patination. The caddy caddy retaining its original green and orange stained color. The interior of the caddy shows signs of its original tea pewter / foil lining and one central lock and single metal hinge. The front of the caddy has its original metal escutcheon. The base of the caddy still has signs of its original paper.
