George I Period Walnut Bureau

An unusual rare size George 1st period figured walnut bureau. The drawer arrangements with a single long oak lined drawer followed by two short oak lined and two additional long graduated shaped oak lined drawers are feathered banded and surrounded with cockbeading. The slant front with feathered border opens on two brass hinges and reset on a pair of pulled out loppers. The interior reveals pigeonholes and small drawers. The sides are veneered in straight-grained walnut. The bureau is standing on original bracket feet. The bureau retains in original rich colour and patina.
