19th Century Yew Tree Gateleg Table
This generous eight-seater 19th century yew tree gateleg table having an oval shaped drop leaf top. The lower section with shaped frieze supported on double gates with turned baluster and block turned stretchers. Once the table is turned up, you see the original metal hinges supporting the drop leaf. The table retains a rich graining and colour. The double gate makes for a much stronger and more stable construction of table. These are much less common than the single gate versions.
