George III Sheraton period Tea Caddy

A George III tea caddy dating from the Sheraton period. This caddy is made from Cuban mahogany and has fine kingwood crossbandings, parquerty inlaid with diamonds and boxwood stringing . It stands on its original brass and gilded feet, and the lid opens to reveal its original interior. The mahogany lids have boxwood knob handles and traces of the original foil lining. The quality and colour are both very good, making this an excellent example of a Georgian tea caddy.
